Just make them account based instead of complicating things. At least Wisdom and Treasure Hunter, the other 3 are much less important. Either sum up all points in those titles from all characters (ohno, someone may qq about the title becoming easier, even if it won't be, roflmao) or just take the highest present value among all characters, for simplicity.

THAT'S the problem.

The ONLY way to prevent that is playing with a single character.

And that's BORING.

Titles should be maxable while playing normally, and having fun.

This would actually make sense to make these titles account based instead. I play many toons and it would make the game more enjoyable to be able to open up chests with 'the neglected characters'. It feels as if I need to focus on just one character to make opening chests worthwhile as the titles have an effect. I doubt they will make these 2 titles account based. /signed so my other characters can open up chests too.

I have ten characters and I consider none to be primary. For the sake of being able to salvage rare material (rubies, sapphires, steel, etc..) and if I want to get two mods off an item I have to move stuff around in my inventory and ID stuff on only one character.

Treasure hunter is different for me because I have been opening all chests, no matter what character I was on, for the last 3 years and I am not going to stop now. (There was that one time while running a friend to droks forge and I stopped to open a chest along the way and caused myself to get killed but it only happen once, or twice, ok it happens a lot, I just can’t pass them up!!!)

Drinking title, I have no use for this title. I use alcohol combined with [Dwarven [email protected]] when farming areas with KD (such as Oola's Lab and ooze pit) so game wise the consumable has a use, the title has no use.

So I am all for wisdom being made account wide so I can stop playing musical inventory with gold items. The other title do not affect me or my style of play so I have no view on them being made account based.

There would be no problems if once a title is maxed and given to the Monumentm it can't be moved again.

Or when a title is moved, it vanishes from the Hall.

Anet devs won't fail in such cheap bugs.

A player should play with his main character all the titles and all other non main characters should get those things, which are imaginable as account wide too, once you played through with the non main character all campaigns and reached after that the Hall of Monuments with them.

Only the Elite Armor Monument will get not affected by it then, because those you have to buy for all your characters personally, because players can't simple buy other armors of other professions, than the one, they play right in the moment and a ranger (insert other prof here) can only put ranger armor on the elite armor monument...

Example: you play your main character, get legendary survivor with it, than you play one of your non main character, get through all campaigns and to the hall and you will be able to put the LS monument on that chara then too into your hall and the title will be putable on the hall for all your character, once they have played through all campaigns and got to the hall...

Same with minipets, destroyer items, hero elite armor, as said, just only not with character elite armor, because thats the only Monument of the hall, which is IMPOSSIBLE to make account wide, because it affects every single profession for themself alone. it doesn't show all your elite armors of all your professions, would it do that, than would have the HoM really to become a whole account based feature, because then there would be really nothing, which would stop anet from changing it completely...

However, the whole HoM is until now only a huge dissappointment of being crap concepted and it won't change, because it would require anet to work really on GW1 and for that, they are 1. too busy with GW2, 2. too lazy and 3. they seem absolutely not to care about, what crap they made out of the game from Campaign to Campaign ... they ignored our complaints totally from the start on and never changed something significantly, when they had the time for it and the chance, to change soem greater things, without too drastically results for the lore or the gameplay... now the time is longly over and the chance to fix alot of crap concepts of the game is missed - so the problems have become for GW1 unrepairable and we can just hope only, that anet does it better with GW2 from the start on and will hopefully care more for the games gameplay system issues and lore, when they implemented new stuff, so that they can change bad things, before its too late to change them...

With a "We don't do something today, we do it tommorow-Mentally" you can't maintain very good an online game over long time Anet

I think all titles should be account based except Survivor and LDoA.
The reason is simple, my sin was never in pre searing how could she have it. and as far as survivor based titles. if you died a lot playing a mesmer but freaking pwnd playing a ranger, why would the mesmer get the title? But the others are grind based. Open a box, ident treasure, drink something, eat something, kill something. People may gripe, your lvl 1 has drunkard....so what. Its just a title.

I do agree with the one poster who said that elite armor should be per char.

one question: Would this count for heros as well? and the 1337 pets?

This doesn't make titles easier, unless you thought double clicking an ale every minute was hard to begin with. It reduces grind. Why is it people have troubles distinguishing between easier vs less grind?

Face it, the only titles that require any amount of skill other then c-spacing with henchies for a year is the guardian/vanquisher line of titles, and those require a high norn rank and consumables along with c-spacing. If you want to complain about titles being made easier, complain about heroes/pve skills/consumables.

I'd love to see this implemented. Sadly, I don't think it will be. But I agree that it should only be with certain titles, such as the Drunkard, Sweet Tooth, etc. Not for things like Protector, Guardian, Vanquisher, and things like that.

/signed for the grinding titles that are not reputation titles *meaning just the 5 the OP mentioned.* If not that, then make Wisdom and Treasure Hunter Account based. *Of course, it doesn't matter to me that much, as I lost about 900 min of drunkness, 600 sweet tooth points, and 300 wisdom/treasure hunter points from deleting my old title character, so idc that much unless I can get those back*

Of course, I wouldn't even mind if it was for titles like Protector either *less work for new characters Woot!*

It doesn't affect me as I only play one character (I actually do not enjoy any of the other classses nearly as much). But I don't see how this would hurt. The OP answered all my concerns in his edit. Just those 5, once dedicated in the HOM untransferrable.

I would make one suggestion, though. Once one character is a recipient of a transfer, that character should not be able to transfer points away. This prevents shifting your treasure hunter around to increase lp retention.

I am not opposed, but would be blown away if it was ever implemented. Too much work on ANets part.
